Hello and welcome, old dude! I found something that may answer some of your questions. Look at the B part of the answer, a bit lower than mid-page:

There seem to be a correct procedure to oil those rifles. Hope it helps!

Thank you airmec, that's what i have been looking for. I looked over the gun for oil ports but found now, hence the question.
You have been a great help on this and i will give it a go. I tried firing the gun, it shot the bb but not much force, hopefully this will help.
Again thanks alot,
old dude

this gun was purchased for my brother in law when he was 13 1964 i believe he said. He gave it to me as he hasn't had any use
for it for a long time. I told him i was getting into air guns and he dug this beauty up for me.

I just took it out in the back yard and shot some rounds. Works great and even still sited in and shooting with
some force now. Again thanks Airmec, that solved the problem, i guess i'll have to keep her oiled up and shooting
smooth. Never knew air guns could be so much fun. Have to do something until fishing season, and no i don't ice fish
it's hard to get my canoe to float

This is one sweet looking vintage rifle, old dude! I'm happy if I did help you to make it shoot better, you really seem to enjoy it . According to the infos I found, it's a rather realistic replica. Here's some more interesting reading:

Have fun!

Thanks I found that site while looking for how to oil the old girl. I found it very informative and some history as well.
since just recently getting into air guns, i noticed Daisy is located in Rogers AK. the gun i have was produced in Preston, Ontario, Canada.
Would you know if the guns made in Preston where for the Canadian market or all of them made there back in the 1960s.
Thanks airmec.
Have a good one,
old dude

I lived a few minutes away from the building where your gun was made. I seen the building burn down in 1996 and it was torn down shortly after.
